Elevators need hoists, weights, wrenches, and a telephone connection to make the full use of the elevator, and make it functional. With that said, everything will go into an elevator room. There is not much to say about this. One thing one might question is the need for a telephone connection. At least in Pittsburgh, all elevators must be able to connect with an elevator maintenance company in case someone gets stuck in the elevator. With that said, there needs to be a telephone connection. Verizon is shutting down its POTS? network, so SIP? is the only solution. With that said, there will be an ATA? which will connect the RJ11 port with the elevator to the ATA, and the ATA will plug into the LAN. Since there are 2 ISP?s in the house, there is an assurance that there will be internet services, and therefore a voice line to the elevator company.
